Il s'agissait du tout premier jeu vidéo réalisé pour ce système (cassette n°01) avec Sengoku Ninja-tai (connu sous le nom de Ninja au Japon) et Manhattan. On dit que le titre HWY Chase (HWY au lieu de Highway) a été choisi pour recycler facilement le code source et les matériaux créés pour « Mad Rider », sorti plus tôt sous forme de PCB et connu sous le nom de « Mad Alien » au Japon.
