Le combattant de Konami de 1992 permet aux joueurs de contrôler Astérix ou Obélix dans un beat-em-up à défilement horizontal. Les joueurs utilisent une attaque précipitée en appuyant deux fois sur le joystick vers l'avant avant d'appuyer sur le bouton d'attaque pour réduire les distances. Les deux personnages peuvent également exécuter une puissante attaque à bras tournant pour éliminer des groupes de soldats de l’Empire romain pendant le combat.
